Picture this: 2016. Event idea generation. Planning sessions. Setting up event. Sending emails.
Now it's time for the event... 4 people show up. It would be natural to give up or throw in the towel, but we did not. First, we give those 4 people the best possible experience. Next, we doubled down on ourselves. Vowing to do whatever it takes to avoid that disappointment. We know there is a desire in the community for chapter. We just needed to find the tone as a Board to create engaging meeting ideas, recruit the best speakers and attract an audience.
And we have done it! It is not without challenges and hardships. The global pandemic put a pause on things, but we roared back in 2023 with a fantastic slate. Our community reacted in kind. We experienced the best turnout we have ever seen.
We are thrilled for the success the chapter has experienced over the last 10 years. We are even more excited for the future.
